ABOUT

Hey Oregon,

Thank you.

As a product of your film community I appreciate all you’ve done for me. When I started out, grinding rust off the bottoms of grip trucks, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. But I knew I had found an interesting industry, full of talented people, and I wanted in. Over the years as I’ve worked as Grip, Electric, Operator, DP and Director my respect and feelings of rapport for fellow crew mates, vendors and clients have only grown.

All along the way, you’ve shown up to give me the trust and support I needed. When it was time to step-up, learn to light scenes, and expose film you were there with advice and insight. Oregon, you’ve been supporting me with great equipment since my first DP travel gigs to places I never imagined I’d go: Beijing, Barcelona, Best Buy.

I'm super grateful to have had the opportunity to work with amazing clients like Intel, Nike, adidas, Visa, Levi’s and Asus — all while you were surrounding me in your beauty. Even my morning commute from Hood River through the Columbia River Gorge is stunning. The gifts of mountains and rivers makes this is an extraordinary place for my wife and I to raise our sons.

Oregon, I’ve been fortunate enough to sing your praises from fold-out chairs and lift-gates all over the country and on five continents. I try to represent you well. I hope I convey that we are focused problem solvers, cheerful collaborators, and optimistic realists. Whether you’re a marque athlete or a kid learning the ropes, I hope that I come across as friendly, down-to-earth, and relatable as I’ve been treated. Let’s just do the work. It’s your way.

Thank you.
